How to Remove Whatsapp Messages More Than 7 Minutes - At the end of October, Whatsapp inaugurated the new feature of " unsend". This feature can be used to delete messages that have been sent (wrong to send). Unfortunately, this feature only applies to newly sent messages only, and maximum time up to 7 minutes.
If the user touch and hold the message, it will appear the option to delete for everyone to unsend , and to delete the message, select the trash icon. However, if it is past that time, the option will not appear and that means the message can not be deleted.
The question is, how to outsmart the 7 minute time limit? For that in this article I will share the trick to outsmart it.
Here's how to delete the Whatsapp message which is more than 7 minutes
The trick is actually quite easy, we can take advantage of the gaps in the Whatsapp. This can be done on Android and iPhone. Here are the steps:
- Please turn off internet connection on your phone first (Wi-Fi and mobile data ).
- Close the Whatsapp app, make sure it is not running in the background.
- Next go to the phone settings menu and change the date to be before the sending day of the message. For example if you want to delete the message that was sent yesterday, change the date and time it becomes the date to be yesterday.
- Now go to WhatsApp then look for the message you want to delete.
- Please delete the message as usual, by touching and holding the related message and then selecting the trash can icon.
- WhatsApp will return the delete for everyone option that was lost if the message is older than 7 minutes.
- If the message has been deleted, restore the phone date and time settings to its original time.
- Last step, please turn on the internet connection again.
Well, once the phone returns to the correct date and connects to the internet, the WhatsApp message deleted with this trick will remain erased. This method effectively overrides the 7 minute time limit for unsend messages .
In place of deleted message recipients , WhatsApp will display the text you deleted this message so that the recipient of the message in a chat / group will still know that you have deleted the related message.
This trick only applies to deleting messages sent until 2 days ago (yesterday after tomorrow) from the current date. If more than that, the Whatsapp application will display an error message that the phone date is inaccurate and the application can not be opened.
